Four principles for unattended stores

We started with what can't fail
when no one is in the store

  • Not a single page prints before payment

    The key that blocks printing lives in the MFP app, not on the PC. Even if someone installs a driver on the PC, nothing prints without payment.

  • If the server stops, the store doesn't

    Print jobs from the store PC and card payments are processed inside the store. If our servers go down or the internet drops, the store keeps running; only online features such as Send Ahead pause for a while.

  • Print from any printer

    Whichever PC sent the job, it prints on the printer where the customer enters their number. If one printer is under maintenance, just use the next one.

  • Customer files stay in the store

    Files uploaded from a store PC print only on that store's printers. Files that aren't collected are deleted automatically after a set time.

Fully self-service

First visit or no card — customers manage on their own

  • Pay without a card

    Physical cards, transit cards and Samsung Pay are accepted at the payment terminal. No card? Customers pay on their phone with a local mobile wallet (KakaoPay, Naver Pay, Toss in Korea). Nobody leaves just because they forgot their card.

  • 12 languages

    Korean, English, Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, Russian, Indonesian, Arabic and Hindi. In Arabic the screen switches to right-to-left, and the printer and PC always speak the same language.

  • Any file

    On the store PC: PDF, images, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and HWP. Send Ahead currently supports PDF, JPG and PNG, with more formats coming soon.

  • Certificates print as-is

    Documents printed from government portals (such as Gov24 or the Internet Registry Office in Korea) come out as-is, with nothing extra to select.

  • No misprints

    Customers check a preview before printing, and if files have different settings, they are shown once more right before printing.

  • Less paper

    Double-sided printing and 2 pages per sheet.

  • Self-service copy, scan and fax

    Copy both sides of an ID card onto one page, and save scans to the store PC's scan box. Fax results arrive on the customer's phone, and failed faxes are refunded automatically.

  • Machine at fault? Payment canceled

    If a system error stops a job from printing, the payment is canceled automatically.

Which printers does it work with?

It works with supported HP multifunction printers (Samsung MX5, MX6 and MX9 series in Korea). Older, discontinued models are switched over when they are due for replacement.

We use another unattended solution now. Can we switch?

Yes. If your printers are supported models, you keep them and switch only the system. Your signage changes to Selfprint, too.

Is setup difficult?

Install the PC App and click [Add printer] in ZIGU Print Admin. It finds the store's printers and completes setup and installation on its own. No codes to enter.

Does the store stop if the internet goes down?

No. Print jobs from the store PC and card payments keep working. Only online features such as Send Ahead pause until the connection is back.

What if a customer says "It didn't print"?

Find the job in ZIGU Print Admin and reprint it remotely, or refund or cancel it. Payments for jobs that fail to print due to a system error are canceled automatically.

Who replaces the supplies?

A head-office technician installs them and takes the used supplies away. The cost is added to your monthly subscription and billed together.

What goes into a store?

Everything a store needs, from signage and X-banners to interior, furniture, PCs, printers, payment terminals and self-service devices. We'll recommend a setup that fits your store size during consultation.

Can I see how it actually works?

How much does it cost?

It's a monthly subscription. Any supplies you use are added to the subscription and billed in one payment. See Pricing for amounts.

Are customer files safe?

Files uploaded from a store PC print only on that store's printers, and files that aren't collected are deleted automatically after a set time.

Do I have to install updates myself?

No. They're installed automatically.

Can sales partners use the admin system too?

Yes. They can view and manage the stores they've signed up in ZIGU Print Admin.

Just two kinds of payment

Print fees paid by store customers, and the system subscription paid by store owners.
All payments are processed by Zigu Print (ZIGU PTE. LTD.).

Print and copy fees

Each store owner sets their own print prices. When customers upload a file from the store PC or their phone (QR), the price is calculated from the settings they choose, and the job prints on the MFP once payment is complete.
